In a few sentences

Integration Development Manager will have oversight and management responsibility for a team of Java and UI developers, and deliver projects through to production deployment and support. The development team consists of other development managers, Development leads, Java developers and Web UI developers, whose purpose is to deliver the roadmap vision from Product Management to customers. You will work with  a wide range of people including other managers in the group, Test team, Product management, Support and Delivery teams and ultimately the customer to fulfill your role.

 

What will your job look like?

  • You will provide day-to-day and strategic guidance to our development team, working within an R&D management group.
  • You will provide design and development expertise in delivering enterprise software solutions, with java platforms and web UI.
  • You wiil work with product owners to understand market needs & vision; quickly translate that vision into demonstrable software 
  • You will establish an open, meaningful, and trusting relationship with the customer facing teams.
  • You will set expectations/alignment with the internal customer teams (Support and Delivery) to fully cover the end to end solution.
  • You will provide customer support for delivered products, interfacing with the Support and Delivery teams and ultimately the customer.
  • You will present and discuss technical solutions with the customer with a combination of presentations and demos.
  • You will follow the solution from different aspects (timeline, budget, estimation, risks and tasks prioritization) and provide cross checks and feedback to Management.
  • You will assure HLD (High Level design) / IA (Impact assessment), working with QA and Product Management.
  • You will be responsible for full Agile lifecycle of software engineering, with iterative sprints including   (planning, execution, monitoring, risk management and resolution of issues) within agreed quality, time and budget.
  • You will be responsible for Team and People management (professional and personal care aspects)
  • You will lead the team to resolve technical challenges, lead unit level initiatives to build technical competency to meet the needs of the team
  • You will promote and instill a culture of continuous improvement and efficiency to the software/business processes through out-of-the-box thinking on product and processes by utilizing or creating new software engineering tools and different innovation techniques

All you need is...

  • Bachelor's degree in Science/IT/Computing or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in SW Engineering role, preferrebaly with Java or other enterprise /large software solutions - this is not hands on development role, but we are looking for someone with this background (and there may be opportunities to use your coding skills)
  • At least 5 years in a management role. A real passion for mentoring and growing the potential of others
  • Expert in (Java based) applications development on a delivery operation
  • Thorough understanding of software development and/or support methodologies, principles and procedures and related software management tools
  • Customer-facing experience with the ability to present solutions using various methods (presentations, demos, etc.).
  • Knowledge of telecom industry is beneficial but not essential.
