In one sentence

Front End Software Developer is expected to support and maintain production for respective application area. All defect fixes of production has to be done with highest level of quality. Software developer should be able to provide permanent solutions to production issues and incidents and should be able to interact with other application teams for solutions. Should be able to perform a quick first-level analysis.

Modify application configurations based on system performance. Review code and ensure delivery quality and integration to future versions. Define UAT support and production support plans. Provide performance testing support. Analyze, design, develop, and support various change requests from clients. Customize billing application systems. Develop and present proof of concept software for prospective clients.

What will your job look like?

  • Performing critical & non-critical support activities to ensure production stability
  • Provide a quick and professional analysis/trouble shooting tor production related escalation.
  • Work with partner teams (Application support, Infra, DBA, Service desk, Monitoring) to provide support for tickets pertaining to all production outstanding issues.
  • Work on adhoc requests and other reporting as and when required
  • Provide excellent and quality on call support when needed.
  • Adhere to process laid down for production operation.
  • Design and development of short/long term development tasks/CRs for production environments.
  • Design and development of tasks to enhance performance.

Required Skillset


Mandatory Skills:
1.) Have either hands-on or good understanding on REST Services, spring framework and web services (SOAP)
2.) Expertise in JAVA/J2EE and related technologies.
3.) Expertise in Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, UNIX, XML, WebServices.
4.) Knowledge of Shell Scripting.
5.) Expertise in maintenance of production support systems.
6.) Ability to debug and develop algorithm/logics to provide UI related fix independently.
7.) Expertise in debug applications deployed in Apache, Apache Karaf, Weblogic, and JBoss.
8.) Ability for performance root cause analysis and application level tuning.
9.) Expertise in REST and WS (SOAP) protocol and development/debugging of such services.

Preferred Skills:
1.) Knowledge of distributed, multi-threaded Telecommunication applications (CRM, OMS).
2.) Understanding of telecommunications wireless networks (4G/LTE specifically) and network interfaces/standards (e.g. Sy)
3.) Understanding of basic communication protocols (specifically Diameter, SOAP, HTTP, GTP)
4.) Experienced in working with cross site teams
5.)  Experienced in change management and leading transformation
6.) Experienced in Technical design, Agile methodologies, Scrum, Continuous Integration enablement

7.)  Experienced in Test driven methodologies
8.)  Experienced in Knowledge Management
9.) Experienced in supporting systems deployed over cloud (preferably AWS)
10.) Experienced in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and related technologies.
